Bridget’s Weekly Running Recipe for Dogs- Week 21

SWEET POTATO DOG TREATS

You will needWoman Cook

A 300 degree oven

6 oz sweet potato, cooked
3 T peanut butter
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 c brown rice flour
¼ cup brown rice, cooked
¼ cup parsley, chopped
vegetable spray

In a small bowl combine the sweet potato, peanut butter and the egg, mix well. Fold in the remaining ingredients. With a small ice cream scooper drop the batter onto a lightly sprayed cookie tray.  Gently press down each treat with the back of a spoon. Bake for about 40 minutes or until golden brown.

I thought some of our best running buddies could use a little treat!  I’m sure they’ve been training hard with you. I made these with leftovers and my puppy really enjoyed them. If the sweet potato is wet try drying it in the oven for a few minutes. You can substitute canned pumpkin for the sweet potato.

Have a great week!
