About Worth the Hurt

Worth The Hurt is a fundraising platform for endurance athletes developed by The San Francisco Marathon as its elite brand to promote participation in challenging athletic events, fundraising and social networking for its participants and their fans.

The San Francisco Marathon will launch the platform by sponsoring six of running’s most prolific fund-raisers for various worthy causes through 2012 under the banner of Worth the Hurt.  On July 29, 2012 these athletes will participate in an audacious challenge:  to run the marathon twice, back-to-back.

Through this 52.4 mile ultra event, we challenge you to Get Worthy by getting involved and Give Worth by donating to one of the worthy causes.  Find out more:  www.worththehurt.net
