Bay Area Turkey Trots

Sidenote: running dressed as a Turkey will get you bonus points and guarantee a PR.

If you’re anything like us, the holidays snuck up on you and here we are, 1 day before Thanksgiving and still wondering where October went.  If you’re scratching your head trying to figure out what’s in store for tomorrow, consider hitting the pavement before the feasting begins and support your local Turkey Trot.  Trotting will jump-start your metabolism and relieve holiday stress, allow you to test your current fitness level and motivate you to set goals and challenge yourself in the New Year.  Still not convinced?  Most Turkey Trots support local non-profit organizations such as Food Banks, Schools, or community programs.  And you’ll get out there with your neighbors and friends and join the community spirit of fitness.

Ready to lace up your shoes now? Great! Here’s a list of a few Turkey Trots in the Bay Area, there are some great options so choose wisely!  If you’re travelling or live outside of the Bay Area, check out tools like Active, Runner’s World or even just Google to find your local trot.  Enjoy the run and Happy Holidays from The SF Marathon Family!
