Alyssa Yell

I began running seriously (and by “seriously” I mean more than once a year) in 2008. I had quit smoking and my addictive-personality self needed a new hobby. A coworker convinced me to sign up for a half marathon in our hometown, and I’ve been hooked to the energy of racing ever since. You still won’t find me tearing by racers or setting course records, but you will find me ascending the hills of San Francisco daily, running dozens of races yearly, and inspiring others to do the same. I signed up for the San Francisco Marathon immediately after moving here in 2010, and the race holds a very special place in my heart. I love setting running goals and meeting new people (in real life and virtually) along the way!
