Project Open Hand
Project Open Hand is a 27-year-old non-profit relief organization that provides meals, groceries, and nutritional counseling to some of the most vulnerable Bay Area residents; individuals living with symptomatic HIV/AIDS or breast cancer, the homebound/critically ill, and seniors.
Join Team Project Open Hand and help us raise crucial funds to provide daily nutritious food and compassion to our neighbors in need. So why should YOU run with Team Open Hand? Because your participation will enable us to continue to be able to serve thousands of meals with love every day of the year!
Project Open Hand currently serves 2,600 meals every day and 1,500 grocery shops each week. During the last fiscal year of 2010-11, we served 355,700 meals and 77,737 grocery shops (a ‘shop’ is equal to 2-3 bags of groceries) to clients. Our building is located in the heart of the Tenderloin, one of San Francisco’s harshest urban environments.
We could never continue to meet the needs of our clients without the support and compassion from people like you! To help raise money for Project Open Hand please donate or join our team on Crowdrise today.
