Race Highlights
Our 5K runs along the waterfront that draw millions of visitors each year. Take in views of the Bay, the Bay Bridge, Treasure Island, Coit Tower and Pier 39. Runners enjoy San Francisco’s iconic backdrop while finishing in front of the Ferry Building. Our 5K Race invites runners of all levels to experience our fast, flat course and participate in the finish line celebration.

    5K Details

  • Corrals
    *Start: 7:45am @ The Embarcadero at Market Street

    Corral Information (subject to change): 7:45 / 7:49 / 7:54

  • Course Limits
    In order to qualify as an Official 5K Finisher, you must finish within the 1 hour course limit.
  • Water/Fuel Stops & Medical Care
    The Sunday 5k includes 1 water stop where you can find water,  GU electrolytes, GU energy chews, medical and toilets.

  • Elevation
    2021 Official Elevation, see above map.

  • Perks & Benefits
    All participants receive a technical fabric long-sleeved shirt. View sizing info here. Finishers receive a finisher’s medal, free photos, electronic finisher’s certificate, and individual care, both on and off the course and following – including food, beverage, heat sheet and medical care.
  • Awards
    Gifts will be issued to the top 3 Men and Women in the 5K open division. Once official results have been finalized, award plaques are created, personalized and mailed.
  • Scoring
    The top 3 overall Men and Women in the 5K open division will receive a plaque and winners medal.
  • Divisions

    5K: Open

    5K Stroller:

    • Strollers are allowed in the 5k distance only. Registrants intending to run with a stroller should check the box marked “Stroller Division” during registration. Children in strollers are not required to be registered, but will not receive a shirt or medal.
    • Runners with strollers will only be allowed in the last wave of the 5K (Wave 3), regardless of EFT and will need to line up behind all individual runners.
  • Strollers
    Strollers are allowed on the 5K course and no other distance. Runners with strollers will be placed in the last wave. Registrants intending to run with a stroller should check the box marked “Stroller Division” during registration. Children in strollers are not required to be registered, but will not receive a shirt or medal.
