In the San Francisco Marathon Mile 24 of the 2022 San Francisco Marathon Course, you will find the original home of the infamous Anchor Steam Beer and the Anchor Steam Brewing Company – an incentive to come back to post race! Anchor Steam makes San Francisco proud as America’s first handcrafted beer!

This leg of the SF Marathon 2022 starts runners under Highway 101, California’s highway, through a flat stretch of Potrero Hill that is now transitioning from industrial to residential, up Mississippi, under Highway 280 and drops them down into Dog Patch. Along the way, at De Haro is where runners will find the home of Anchor Steam Brewing and Public House.

At Wisconsin racers jog right to Jackson Park and East on 17th to Mississippi. There is a nice block incline as you turn right onto Mississippi. Left onto Mariposa, over CalTrain, under 280. The new UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital will come into view and beyond that the Bay. U.S. News & World Report awards high rankings to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals in 10 specialties.
