What You’ll Experience: The 1st Half “Bridge” Marathon is packed with thrills—including a run across the Golden Gate Bridge!

What You Need to Know: Runner Shuttle Buses will pick up runners in 5 to 10-minute intervals from 5:45 am to 6:45 am by the main start line at Howard and Spear St., and drop off by the Bridge Half Marathon start line at Marina Blvd. between Baker and Brodrick St. in the Presidio.  Shuttles will also be provided from the Bridge Half Marathon finish line between 7:30 am and 11:30 am, back to the Main Finish Line Festival on the Embarkadero. Pick up at Fulton St. at 11th Ave.

    1st Half Marathon Details

  • Start time, location and corral details

    The 1st Half starts at 7:00 am (start time subject to change) @ Presidio, adjacent to Crissy Field Sports Basement

    All participants must be in their assigned corrals by the official start time of the race.

    Corral Start times:

    Corral A: 7:00 AM

    Corral B: 7:05 AM

    Corral C: 7:10 AM

  • Course Limits
    In order to qualify as an Official 1st Half Marathon Finisher, you must finish within the 3 hour course limit.
  • Water/Fuel Stops & Medical Care
    The 1st Half Marathon includes 7 water stops where you can find water, Nuun electrolytes, medical, and toilets. Water Stop 5 includes Chargel energy gel.

    *All water stops will have water monster refill stations.

  • Need to know
    In an effort to reduce waste and work toward being a sustainable event, heat sheets will not be provided at the finish line.  Our medical team will have them available if the weather is cold and foggy. We encourage you to pack a warm lightweight item that can fit in your drop bag that you can put on post-race. We appreciate your understanding and help in reducing our footprint.

    All participants receive a technical fabric long-sleeved shirt. View sizing info here. Finishers receive a finisher’s medal, free photos, an electronic finisher’s certificate, and individual care, both on and off the course – including food, beverage, and medical care.

  • Race Morning Runner Shuttles
    Shuttle Buses will pick up runners from 4:30 am to 5:45 am in 5 to 10-minute intervals from the main start line at Howard and Spear St., and drop off by the Bridge Half Marathon start line at Halleck and Mason St. in the Presidio.  Shuttles will also be provided from the Bridge Half Marathon finish line in Golden Gate Park back to the Main Finish Line Festival on the Embarcadero.
  • Drop-off Points
    If you are getting a ride into the start line, the best drop-off is Lincoln blvd between Montgomery St and Anza Ave, in The Presidio. Pick up for the 1st Half Marathon Finish is on Funston St. at Fulton St.
  • Awards
    The top 3 overall and the top 3 Men, Women, and NB+ division winners in the 1st Half marathon will receive digital 3D awards via email when the results are finalized, 3 to 6 weeks post-race.
