Take on the Bay Bridge Challenge

Enjoy your journey through The Town and The City and celebrate your accomplishments with friends and family!

If you ran any event at the Oakland Running Festival (March 23, 2025) and then run any distance at the San Francisco Marathon (July 27, 2025) you can pick up your 2025 challenge medal at the San Francisco Marathon!

No need to do anything special to be eligible, just make sure you sign up with the exact same name and birth date at both races.  You will have a stamp on your bib so that you can pick up your challenge medal! 

**Once you are a challenge qualifier at your second qualifying event, the challenge starts over.

** All in-person distances qualify excluding the Family 1K or Virtual (SFM)

** Kids’ fun run events excluded (Oakland)

Award pickup instructions

– Check your Bib for the Bay Bridge Challenge stamp. This is your ticket to pick up your medal at the Expo. If your bib is not stamped, please visit the Solutions Table.

– Medals must be picked up at the challenge tables at the Expo (or the Finish Line Festival in the Embarcadero for those with the Bib Delivery).

– Medals will not be mailed for any reason.
