Challenge Rules

• You are eligible at your second qualifying event in the series.  The challenge then starts again. If you have already qualified and picked up the Time To Travel medal at the 2024 OC Marathon (by running the 2023 SFM Marathon), your challenge is starting over
• No need to do anything special to be eligible, just make sure you sign up with the exact same name and birth date at both races. 
• Events must be completed consecutively. If you skip an event, the challenge must be started over.
• After completing the challenge and receiving the award, the challenge starts again and can be repeated by traveling back to the next event again for fun and to collect the new medal. The Time To Travel medal award will change yearly so you can continue collecting the California Time To Travel Challenge medals.  
• If you started the challenge at the 2023 San Francisco Marathon, you can pick up your medal at the 2024 OC Marathon!  Woop Woop!

Race day/ Award pickup instructions

• – Check your Bib for the Time To Travel Challenge stamp. This is your ticket to pick up your medal at the Expo. If your bib is not stamped, please visit the Solutions Table at the Expo.
• – Medals to be picked up at the challenge tables at the Expo (medals will also be available at 1st Half Finish and Finish Line Festival for those with the Bib Delivery option)
• – Medals will not be mailed for any reason.
• ** All in-person distances qualify excluding the Family 1K or Virtual (SFM)
• ** Kids’ Run The OC and Virtuals excluded (OC Marathon)
