The Biofreeze San Francisco Marathon’s stunning 5K course offers runners the opportunity to conquer an energetic race alongside a range of participants, from experienced athletes to stroller runners. Our 5K runs through miles of waterfront that draw millions of visitors each year. Take in views of the Bay, the Bay Bridge, Treasure Island, Coit Tower, and much more. Runners enjoy San Francisco’s iconic backdrop while earning a spot at the finish line festival in front of the Ferry Building. Our 5K Race invites runners of all levels to experience our fast, flat course and participate in the finish line celebration.

Corrals
*Start: 7:45 am @ Mission Street and The Embarcadero, San Francisco, California 94105

All runners need to be in their corral at the start of the race – 5K start time is 7:45am.
Course Limits
In order to qualify as an Official 5K Finisher, you must finish within the 1 hour course limit.

Amenities
All participants receive a technical fabric long-sleeved shirt. Finishers receive a finisher’s medal, free photos, electronic finisher’s certificate, and individual care, both on and off the course and following – including food, beverage, heat sheet and medical care.

Awards
Gifts will be issued to the top 3 Men and Women in the 5K open division. Once official results have been finalized, award plaques are created, personalized and mailed.
Scoring
The top 3 overall Men and Women in the 5K open division will receive a plaque and winners medal.
Divisions
5K: Open

5K Stroller:
- Strollers are allowed in the 5k distance only. Registrants intending to run with a stroller should check the box marked “Stroller Division” during registration. Children in strollers are not required to be registered, but will not receive a shirt or medal.
- Runners with strollers will only be allowed in the last wave of the 5K (Wave 3), regardless of EFT and will need to line up behind all individual runners.
Strollers
Strollers are allowed on the 5K course and no other distance. Runners with strollers will be placed in the last wave. Registrants intending to run with a stroller should check the box marked “Stroller Division” during registration. Children in strollers are not required to be registered, but will not receive a shirt or medal.
