The next San Francisco Marathon will be held on July 29, 2012.  Registration for all events is now open.  Click the link below to get started! Cancellation Policy

We adhere to the standard marathon running industry policy. All entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. This is noted on our registration application, and when you register for any of our events you must agree to this policy. You may not give or sell your number to another individual – if you do this could result in your disqualification as well as the runner who uses your race number.

The entry fee for this year’s event will NOT transfer to next year’s event, no exceptions. This policy stays in effect whether you are injured, have an unexpected business or family emergency, pregnancy, etc. There are NO exceptions. Any inquiry regarding this policy will be directed back to this page.

In the event you cannot run the 2012 race at all, please enclose a written request with your cancellation and include your name, address, sex, and phone number. By canceling your registration you won’t receive a refund, but we will send you the 2012 race shirt after the race. Medals are not sent to those who do not actually complete the course. We do not accept emailed cancellations. We must receive your written cancellation by July 11th. If your written cancellation is received after that date, we will not be able to process it. Event Change Requests

Runners may request an event change based on event availability. There will be a $10.00 event change fee for any event change, plus any additional registration fees if you are switching to a more expensive event. All event change requests must be submitted via email, and event change requests will only be accepted until June 11th, or until our events sell out (whichever comes first). Even if you email us with your request, your event change is not guaranteed until we confirm with your new bib number. Email us to request an event change.

Wave Change Requests

Runners may request a wave change based on wave availability. There will be a $10.00 wave change fee for any wave change. All wave change requests must be submitted via email, and wave change requests will only be accepted until June 11th, or until the wave sells out (whichever comes first). Even if you email us with your request, your event change is not guaranteed until we confirm with your new bib number. Email us to request a wave change.
